Shutterchance has been agreat platform to start photoblogging, but a few weeks ago I decided that it was about time to stop staying as a (non paying) guest in somebody else´s place and move to my own virtual house. The result is my own web place, that includes, among other things, my photoblog and my blog. So it´s time to thank the Shutterchance team for providing me this space during these months, and invite all my virtual friends to visit me in my new place.... thanks, and hope to see yo there.... albert

Since I happen to live very close to the House of Tibet in the city, I grabbed my camera and took some pictures of the crowd waiting to get blessings from His Holiness... There was a representation of the Tibetan community in Barcelona (I did not know that there were so many Tibetans living in the city...) and other members of the Friend of Tibet foundation, including this lady with her Pekinese dog

]]> I'm back to Bangalore for a few days. Between meetings and presentations, I've been lucky to have had some free time to meet with my phtography pals in the city. Last saturday we went to City Market, one of the major markets in Bangalore. Markets in India are always a photographers paradise: so many different people, colors, action... The only problem is that is diffcult not to get too excited and star shooting everywhere, without having time to think what you are doing. I took this one just after i got to the market, when I was making sure that all the camera settings were correct . The intention was just to take a general picture of the crowd, but I saw the face on one side of the wiewfinder, quickly refocused and reframed, and this is the result...

El chiringuito

]]> I guess there is no real translation in English of the concept of chiringuito , a bar/restaurant by the beach where they serve refreshing beer and , if you´re lucky, some tapas. This, of course, is the trendy version fron the Barceloneta beach in Barcelona, but the only difference with the traditional chiringuito is that waiters and waitresses look much nicer and you can get nachos, humus and some sushi instead of the traditional paella or pescaito frito.....
